I'm Okay

Patsy may not have given me a clean bill of health yesterday, but cancer was not on the yellow card she gives me that lists the results of all my blood work. The good news is my cholestrol went down. The bad choesterol went down and good cholestrol went up. My cholestrol is still 249, which mean my medication is going from 5 milligrams of Crestor to 10 milligrams.

That's what pisses me off. I can't stand the fact that I have to take medication. My blood sugar also indicates that I am "pre-diabetic" whatever that means. Like I said before, these sobering blood profile numbers started when I was 50 years old, and for the life of me, I can't get them down back to normal.

I guess I have to try harder. I must live in a state of hunger and sweat more. It's that simple. I am not a dessert person. But put some bread and butter in front of me or potatoes and pasta, and it's all over. I'm a carbs person and Patsy said that's very bad.

Once again, let me ring the bell and proclaim: I DON'T HAVE CANCER!

I'm not a spring chick anymore. I've got to deal with what comes with aging. With God's help, I will.

P.S. When my conversation with Patsy was done, I do what I always do every three months. I said: Thank you for saving my life.
